EKG Technician Certification

The National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certifies Clinical Medical Assisting Professionals and is the nation’s largest health career certification provider. The NHA improves the quality of patient care by providing the tools needed for allied health certification.

Graduates from the AHDPG EKG Technician program are eligible and encouraged to sit for the CET credentialing exam upon graduation.

Certified EKG Technician (CET)

As a Certified EKG Technician, you’ll operate machines that record the electrical activity of a patient’s heart. EKG rhythms provide important data for the diagnosis of heart conditions.

CET Exam

As a CET, you may perform some or all the following tasks:

Set up and administer EKGs, stress tests
Prepare patients for Holter, or ambulatory monitoring
Edit and deliver final test results to physicians for analysis
Schedule appointments
Transcribe physicians’ interpretations
