About Our Training Programs

Our career training programs are delivered online, enabling students to pursue self-paced, mentor-supported learning in their area of interest. We also provide a variety of student and graduate resources to ensure students’ success post-graduation. Many in the industry believe the various training programs provided by AHDPG offer the best bang (content, preparation, and instruction) for the money.

Hospitals, clinics, medical billing and coding services, medical insurance companies, and other employers continue to recognize the value of hiring an AHDPG graduate, and we appreciate the fine healthcare employers (Employer Affiliates). They have graciously tested and hired our new graduates over the years.

Program Elements

English Language Proficiency Assessment

  • Candidates take an online assessment and are assigned to one of six group (CEFR) levels according to their results.

ELL Training

  • Goal: Develop the English language skills of individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare.

Medical Terminology for Bilingual Individuals

  • Goal: Provide students with a thorough understanding of the language used in healthcare.  Students study medical terminology in English and their Native Language and will align with the Anatomy & Physiology curriculum outlined below.

Anatomy & Physiology

  • Goal: Provide foundational knowledge of human anatomy & physiology, crucial for understanding the practice of medicine and patient care.

Understanding the U.S. Healthcare System

  • Goal: Develop learners understanding of the structure, professionals, and processes that make up the U.S. Healthcare System.

Career Development

  • Goal is to equip students with the clinical, administrative and healthcare documentation skills needed to assist healthcare professionals in settings like doctor’s offices or hospitals. Students can choose from a variety of roles including:
    • Medical Assisting – Clinical or Administrative
    • Contact (Call) Center Associate for Healthcare
    • EKG, Phlebotomy, or Patient Care Technician
    • Medical Billing and Coding
    • Medical Office Management
    • Medical Scribe
    • Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Assistant Scribe
