Attendance and Absence Policy
AHDPG is committed to promoting regular attendance, active participation, and timely academic progress in all programs. At the start of the program, students are provided with their program end date and are responsible for noting that date and completing all required coursework on time.
Students are responsible for maintaining reliable access to the learning platform, reviewing course communications, completing required coursework, and maintaining regular communication with their instructors.
Students are expected to:
- Access the learning platform regularly.
- Complete lessons, assignments, quizzes, examinations, and all other required coursework by the applicable deadlines.
- Maintain progress consistent with the program’s established pacing expectations.
- Review announcements, email, and other school communications regularly.
- Complete all assignments by their stated due dates.
- Contact their instructor promptly with questions, academic concerns, technology barriers, unexpected absences, or other circumstances that may interfere with academic progress or the timely completion of required work.
Failure to maintain regular participation, submit required work, respond to school communications, or make satisfactory academic progress may result in academic intervention, restricted access to the program, administrative withdrawal, denial of continued enrollment, or dismissal from the program.
Section 30, WIOA, and Workforce-Funded Students
For students enrolled through Massachusetts Section 30, WIOA, or another workforce-funded arrangement, the program is delivered according to a fixed, mandatory schedule of at least 20 hours per week. Students must meet all applicable weekly attendance, active-participation, assignment-completion, and satisfactory academic-progress requirements.
